Our tips for enjoying this coffee:
We recommend this coffee for "gentle" extraction methods such as Pour Over, French press, Chemex, and similar techniques. Its delicate roast ensures a subtle and refined extraction with these methods.
While it can also be enjoyed using espresso, Turkish, or Moka pot methods, we generally suggest opting for one of our 1936 coffees for a more stable and balanced experience with these preparations.
You can enjoy it daily in our coffee shops, brewed with Kalita and Chemex.
About this selection:
We are proud to present this new coffee selection from the Asobombo cooperative, located in Pitalito in the Huila region of Colombia, at an altitude ranging from 1,350 to 1,800 meters.
Beyond its quality, Asobombo supports a strong social project by investing in the well-being of its community, promoting gender equality, and empowering women through skill development.
This is why we have chosen to renew our partnership with their women’s group, “Asobombo Mujeres”, made up of 85 female producers committed to responsible and high-quality coffee production.
This specialty coffee, certified organic and composed of Bourbon, Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia varieties, offers a delicate and indulgent aromatic profile with notes of redcurrant, honey, and apple. It is cultivated with care and processed using the washed method, with a controlled fermentation lasting 12 to 36 hours and a slow, even drying process on parabolic beds and patios.
Supporting gender equality is at the heart of our commitment. For every pack sold, we will donate €1 to the organization "Femmes en détresse ASBL." This gesture marks the beginning of our solidarity initiative, which will expand to include other lots, always in partnership with associations working to support and defend women's rights.
Finally, this exceptional coffee will be carefully roasted by our roaster, Catherine Knopes, who will bring out the full richness and complexity of its flavors.
