Our tips for enjoying this coffee:
1936 refers to the year our roasting company was founded and serves as a perfect introduction to our specialty coffee range.
Our coffees with the "1936" label represent our vision of a classic and accessible espresso. For the sake of quality and consistency, we select coffee from a single farm or cooperative.
You can enjoy it daily in our coffee shops as an espresso.
We recommend this coffee for extraction methods such as espresso, Turkish coffee, or Moka pot. Its medium roast ensures a stable and balanced extraction with these techniques. While it can also be enjoyed with gentle methods (Pour Over, French press, Chemex...), we generally suggest opting for one of our seasonal coffees for a more subtle and refined experience with these preparations.
About this selection:
This coffee is once again crafted from a fresh harvest by the Jaguara group in Brazil, a family-owned farm in the Sul de Minas region. Founded in 2001 by agronomist Antonio Wander, the farm has been under the stewardship of André and Natalia since 2013. After the birth of their children, their primary goal became transforming the world into a better place. They are dedicated to producing high-quality coffee while improving the lives of their workers and promoting environmental sustainability. Their approach includes organic farming practices and investments in agroforestry, culminating in achieving CO2 Negative certification in 2023.We selected a lot from their “Jag Cult,” composed of Yellow Catuaí, grown at an altitude of 1,100 meters on their Santa Lucia farm. The cherries are hand-picked and processed naturally (dry process), delivering a creamy coffee with notes of milk chocolate and cane sugar.4o
