  • Our tips for enjoying this coffee:

We recommend this coffee for "gentle" extraction methods such as Pour Over, French press, Chemex, and similar techniques. Its delicate roast ensures a subtle and refined extraction with these methods.

While it can also be enjoyed using espresso, Turkish, or Moka pot methods, we generally suggest opting for one of our 1936 coffees for a more stable and balanced experience with these preparations.

You can enjoy it daily in our coffee shops, brewed with Kalita and Chemex.

  • About this selection:

The word Tojtik refers to the roots of the Acatenango community.
In their language, Tojtik means “ours” and embodies the spirit of cooperation, tradition, and hard work of these small coffee producers. Each bean in this lot is the result of the dedication of their families, who cultivate the land in harmony with nature and with respect for ancestral traditions.

The Sustainable Association of Producers of Guatemala (ASPROGUATE) was founded in 2015 by a group of organized producers spread across the municipalities of Acatenango and San Martín Jilotepeque, in the department of Chimaltenango, as well as in Cobán, in the department of Alta Verapaz. Their mission: to market high-quality coffee grown using organic farming practices.

Tojtik coffee is the fruit of the efforts and passion of the Acatenango Producers Association. Grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soils, this coffee is produced using sustainable agricultural methods. Certified organic, it ensures cultivation free of synthetic chemicals, respecting biodiversity and the natural balance of ecosystems.

The producers of Acatenango also adopt environmentally friendly practices to preserve their natural resources and offer an exceptional coffee with a unique aromatic profile, reflecting the purity and richness of their land.
